Florida’s new concentration camp, called Alligator Alcatraz, is even worse than we thought, and this is only its beginning. This hastily constructed hellhole is already under fire from two media sources.

CBS Report
CBS News’ Anna McAllister reports on the truly inhumane conditions for immigrants caged up in the camp, after a direct phone call with Cuban reggaeton artist Leamsy La Figura. The singer was arrested last week in Miami-Dade on assault charges and transferred to the Everglades death camp to await deportation, he confirmed.
The inhumane conditions of him and other detainees are truly unreal and horrific.
“There’s over 400 people here. There’s no water to take a bath, it’s been four days since I’ve taken a bath,” La Figura said. “They only brought a meal once a day, and it had maggots. They never take off the lights for 24 hours. The mosquitoes are as big as elephants.”
Let it Be Known
“They’re not respecting our human rights,” another man whom McAllister spoke with on the same phone call said. “We’re human beings; we’re not dogs. We’re like rats in an experiment. I don’t know their motive for doing this, if it’s a form of torture. A lot of us have our residency documents and we don’t understand why we’re here.”, he added.
A third detainee, a Colombian, emphasized the lack of access to medical care. “I’m on the edge of losing my mind. I’ve gone three days without taking my medicine”, he said. “It’s impossible to sleep with this white light that’s on all day.”
He also said his religious rights were denied. “They took the Bible I had and said Here, there is no right to religion. And my Bible is the one thing that keeps my faith, and now I’m losing my faith,” he said.
The Miami Herald Report
Ana Ceballos, Alex Harris, and Claire Healy of the Miami Herald have all confirmed separately the horrific conditions of the death camp, including toilets that do not flush, temperatures that go from freezing at night to sweltering during the day, horrendous mosquitoes, no access to bathing, and no calls to attorneys.
These reports were based off several interviews with the wives of several detainees from Guatemala and Venezuela.

Their Response
The official response to these inhumane allegations is what you would expect from this demented debacle: ACCESS DENIED!
Did we expect more? OFFICIAL DENIALS!
What do we say to this? BULLSHIT!
They have minimized or explained away every complaint made against them… With Lies!
In fact, the first reaction of state officials to the charge that an emergency requiring hospitalization had occurred was to deny that it had ever happened. “Fake News,” a spokesperson for Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier said to the Herald. It was only after a report was published that DHS admitted that, yes, a detainee had been taken to the hospital, but had not been admitted and was returned to the camp after 30 minutes. Oh okay, and that should bring us relief because they have been so open and honest thus far.
What is scary is that the state is not permitting the press or state Democratic officials to visit or inspect. Several Florida legislators attempted to enter the death camp on July 3, but were denied access because of “safety concerns”. Such blatant bullshit! What safety concerns are those? And if there are safety concerns for visitors, would that not also mean there might be safety concerns for those caged up there?
Trumps Cruel Agenda
Trump has ended temporary protected status for two more countries, stripping 76,000 more immigrants of their legal status. The Trump Administration plans to end TPS for Honduras and Nicaragua in early September. This heartless stunt will affect tens of thousands who have been living here and working, and yes, paying taxes for two and a half decades in the U.S.
During Trump’s second term, he has sought to criminalize over a million people with lawful status, with many more expected. When are we gonna stand up and do something about this dick-taker? They use the word “Woke” disparagingly to criticize us, but to be “Woke” is to be aware of social and political injustices, particularly racism and discrimination. It means a willingness to speak out against injustice and work towards social change. It means compassion. To be “woke” is to become aware of the suffering of other humans and to have the backbone to speak up for the ones who can’t. Honestly, I’m losing patience waiting for the rest of the country to be “Woke” the fuck up! WE ARE BETTER THAN THIS!
