Early 7:30am Town Hall Highlights Senator’s Fake Christian Values

Iowa Senator Joni Ernst made the news with a shocking response during a recent town hall this past May. As the talk turned to the Medicare cuts in Trump’s Big Beautiful Bill, tensions began to rise. As Iowa Senator Ernst explained the cuts, some in the crowd started to grumble. Then, someone shouted, “People are going to die.”

This statement clearly caught the senator’s attention, and she paused her explanation to say “Well, we all are going to die.”. This was definitely not the right response, as the unhappy crowd reacted with even more dissatisfaction.

As people reacted to her remark, Ernst smiled and said, “For heaven’s sake, for heaven’s sake, folks.” It seems that Ernst thought the crowd wanted eternal life; instead, she confirmed her disconnect from the people. It is truly amazing that a politician could be so out of touch with people and void of compassion.

The simple truth is; people are afraid of dying because they cannot afford health care. People are not trying to live forever, in some cases, just long enough to make their next shift as a Walmart Greeter. Maybe people don’t want to work hard all their lives, just to have a medical emergency clean them out.

Ghoulish GOP Senator

Senator Responds with Heartfelt Video Intro that turns into Mockery.

As one would expect, there was significant blowback, both nationally and in her home state of Iowa. So how did the senator respond? Well, most individuals would choose to apologize for such cold and callous remarks. Maybe show a little humanity and admit it was a little extreme…

Sadly, Senator Ernst followed the MAGA playbook and responded with more cruelty. Senator Ernst decided it would be a good idea to mock the people she serves while walking through a graveyard.

“Hello everyone. I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely apologize for a statement that I made yesterday at my town hall,” she began, before describing the incident. “I made an incorrect assumption that everyone in the auditorium understood that yes, we are all going to perish from this Earth,” she said. “So I apologize. And I’m really, really glad that I did not have to bring up the subject of the tooth fairy as well.

“But for those that would like to see eternal and everlasting life, I encourage you to embrace my lord and savior, Jesus Christ,” she added.

Asinine Response Backed by Invitation to Embrace Her “Lord and Savior”

What a beautiful way to finish a heartfelt insult, in true MAGA Jesus fashion, Ernst feels she has to sign off with a bullshit reminder of her self righteousness, while reaffirming how holy she thinks her beliefs are. From her remarks and actions one could believe her Jesus would:

  • Refuse help to sick individuals who don’t qualify…(from what living?)
  • Put the needs of Billionaires ahead of the sick and poor.
  • Let children die by denying life saving treatment because of where they were born.
  • Mock people who are scared they may lose healthcare.
Villain or Misunderstood?

So maybe Senator Ernst was just having a bad day? Is she really a mean spirited Fake Christian who uses the Bible to validate her cruelty? After looking further into the person Senator Joni Ernst is, we came across some of her actions that might answer that question.

Make ‘Em Squeal

Senator Ernst has a page on her website titled “Make ‘Em Squeal.” This page tracks her work in D.C. “Fighting Against Wasteful Spending”. Now this seems to be an admirable cause, except we know what it means. When MAGA starts talking about wasteful spending, it usually means screwing anyone not a billionaire. In most cases, this means taking away services used by poor and marginalized individuals in our society.

Her page also has DOGE updates as well, and some of her updates actually look like legit waste is being addressed. She works to paint herself as a warrior for the people against the deep state and wasteful spending. But in all her bragging, there is NO reference to Trump’s Birthday Parade…errr Army Birthday Parade. A parade that is supposed to cost up to $45 million dollars and is expected to cause $16 million in street repairs afterwards.

I looked and could not find any opposition from Ernst to the Trump June 14th birthday parade. So while Senator Ernst seems to be fully behind her statement “Well, we all are going to die”. It also appears she supports denying life-saving healthcare if people do not qualify. At the same time she is perfectly fine in spending close to $60 million dollars to stroke the ego of a wannabe King.

With that I am sure MAGA-Jesus is very proud of Senator Ernst and the work she is doing. She keeps up the facade of following Christian values while trying to get people to heaven faster by denying medical care.
